No more Iron Chef: Food Network shows removed from Amazon Prime Instant

Amazon (S AMZN) Prime subscribers won’t be able to watch Iron Chef America, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations or Throwdown With Bobby Flay on the company’s Prime Instant video service anymore: Amazon removed all Food Network shows from the Prime Instant catalog this week.

Also removed were all shows from HGTV, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel, which are all owned by Food Network corporate parent Scripps Networks as well. This comes just one year after Amazon signed a licensing deal with Scripps for those shows.

Judging from posts on Amazon’s customer forums, Food Network shows started to disappear Monday from the service, to the great dismay of some subscribers. In the words of one forum participant:

“I am so disappointed with Food Network being removed from Prime. Will reconsider Prime membership if not returned soon. Poor decision on Amazon’s part.”
